I am 21 years old and will soon have completed my Diploma of broadcast journalism. I have been involved in community radio for about five years at Melbourne based radio station SYN (Student Youth Network) my journey began with brutal but fun graveyard shifts (2am-6am) where a friend and me played music and mustered up the best conversation we could manage for that time in the morning. Since then I have been involved in presenting and producing for various stand alone and flagship programs including breakfast radio with Get Cereal afternoon drive radio with Amplify (formerly Objection). After a few years of experimenting with radio I decided to further my knowledge by completing my Diploma of Broadcast Journalism at Swinburne University of Technology. I will complete the course at the end of 2015 and look forward to continuing to explore the opportunities that are available in the exiting career of radio and journalism.

 

Other stuff: I am a bartender/waiter to pay the bills and love working in hospitality! I’m a huge fan of basketball and spend a lot of time watching the NBA.
